How do helicopter bookings work? +
Helicopter tickets are booked through the official IRCTC Heli Yatra portal (heliyatra.irctc.co.in). We book on your behalf once you confirm the package. Slots sell out very fast — book at least 2 months in advance for May–June dates.
What if the helicopter is cancelled due to weather? +
Bad weather is common at Kedarnath. We have contingency arrangements — if helicopter is cancelled, we arrange a pony/doli/trek option. Refund/rescheduling of helicopter ticket per IRCTC policy.
Is this package suitable for very elderly pilgrims? +
Yes! This is specifically designed for pilgrims who cannot trek 16 km. The helicopter covers the entire elevation gain. At Badrinath, all darshan is by walking short flat distances. Wheelchair support available on request.
What altitude will we reach? +
Kedarnath is at 3,583m (11,755 ft). Badrinath is at 3,133m (10,279 ft). Altitude sickness is possible — we recommend arriving a day early in Haridwar to acclimatize. Oxygen cylinder is available in our vehicle.
