📦 Booking & Packages
How do I book a travel package on Firstraveller? +
Browse packages on our website, select the one you like, click "Book Now", fill in traveller details, choose your payment method and confirm. You'll receive an instant WhatsApp and email confirmation with your booking voucher.
Can I customize a package — change dates, add activities or modify inclusions? +
Yes! Most packages can be customized. Once you submit an enquiry or book, our team will contact you to discuss customizations. You can also WhatsApp us directly with your requirements for a fully custom quote.
How do I know my booking is confirmed? +
You'll receive an instant WhatsApp message, SMS and email with your booking confirmation and unique Booking ID (e.g., #FT-2025-84729). The vendor will also contact you within 24 hours to confirm travel logistics.
Can I book for a group? What's the minimum group size? +
You can book for any group size — solo, couple, family or large groups. For groups of 10+, contact us directly on WhatsApp for special group pricing and customized packages with dedicated group coordinator.
Are all packages available year-round? +
Availability depends on the destination and season. For example, Char Dham is only available May–October, while Goa and Kerala are year-round. Each package page shows available travel dates and seasonal notes.
💳 Payments & Pricing
What payment methods are accepted? +
We accept all major payment methods via Razorpay — UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM), Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, AMEX), Net Banking (all major banks), Wallets and EMI on select credit cards. All transactions are 100% secure and SSL encrypted.
Are there any hidden charges or booking fees? +
No hidden charges ever. The price shown on the package page is the final price per person. GST (5%) is applied at checkout. We charge zero convenience fees — you only pay what you see.
Can I pay in installments / EMI? +
Yes! EMI is available on 3, 6 and 12 month options on select credit cards (HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis). For large bookings above ₹20,000, we also offer a 50% advance + 50% before travel option. Contact us to arrange this.
Is it safe to pay online on Firstraveller? +
Absolutely. All payments are processed through Razorpay, India's most trusted payment gateway, with 256-bit SSL encryption. We never store your card details. You can also choose to pay via WhatsApp by directly transferring to our verified UPI ID.
🔄 Cancellations & Refunds
What is the cancellation policy? +
Most packages allow free cancellation up to 48 hours before travel for a 100% refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may incur charges. Some packages (like pilgrimage tours with pre-booked services) have stricter policies. Always check the specific package page for exact terms.
How long does a refund take? +
Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method. UPI refunds typically reflect in 2–3 business days. If you haven't received your refund after 7 days, WhatsApp us your Booking ID.
What if the vendor cancels my booking? +
If a vendor cancels your booking for any reason, you receive a 100% full refund within 48 hours, plus a ₹500 Firstraveller credit for your next booking as compensation. We'll also help you rebook a similar package immediately.
🛕 Pilgrimage Tours
Is Char Dham Yatra registration mandatory in 2025? +
Yes, online registration is mandatory. Register free at registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in using your Aadhaar card. There are daily pilgrim limits at each dham, so register early especially for May-June dates. Our team can help you with registration as part of your package.
Is Char Dham suitable for senior citizens? +
Yes! We have special Senior Citizen packages with helicopter options for Kedarnath (no trekking needed), slower pacing, wheelchair support, medical kit, and nurse assistance on request. The helicopter for Kedarnath costs ₹4,500–₹8,000 per person one-way and is highly recommended for those above 60.
What is the best time for Char Dham Yatra? +
May-June for opening season (crowded but all facilities open). September-October is ideal — clear skies after monsoon, less crowd, beautiful scenery. Avoid July-August due to monsoon and landslide risks. The dhams typically close in October-November for winter.
🧗 Treks & Adventure
Are the treks suitable for beginners? +
Yes! We have clearly marked difficulty levels — Easy (🟢), Moderate (🟡), Hard (🔴) and Expert (🟣). Great beginner treks include Triund (2 days), Kedarkantha (6 days) and Chopta-Tungnath. Our guides provide full safety briefings and support throughout.
What is the minimum fitness level required for treks? +
For Easy treks, basic walking fitness is sufficient. For Moderate and Hard treks, we recommend 30 minutes of daily cardio (jogging/cycling) for at least 2-3 weeks before. Our pre-trek fitness guide is sent to all registered trekkers.
What equipment is provided vs what do I need to bring? +
We provide: tents, sleeping bags, common cooking equipment, first aid kit, and guides. You need to bring: trekking shoes, personal clothing layers, personal medicines, water bottle and snacks. A complete packing list is emailed after booking.
🏪 For Vendors & Partners
How do I list my packages on Firstraveller? +
Register as a vendor on our platform, complete verification (business license, bank details), and start listing packages for free. Email [email protected] or WhatsApp us to begin the onboarding process. It takes 2–3 business days.
What commission does Firstraveller charge? +
Firstraveller charges a 10% commission on completed bookings only. There are no upfront fees, no monthly charges, and no listing fees. You only pay when you earn. Commissions are auto-deducted and remaining amount is transferred within 7 days of trip completion.
How are leads assigned to vendors? +
Leads are assigned by our admin team based on your specialty, destination coverage, current availability and response rate. Vendors with faster response times and higher ratings get priority lead assignment. All lead details including customer contact are shared via WhatsApp notification.
